Southington Brewery Hosting Prominent UConn Coaches

SOUTHINGTON, CT — Area University of Connecticut basketball and football fans might want to circle June 20 on their calendars in the Southington area.

That's when they will have a chance to meet national championship winning basketball coach Danny Hurley, football coach Jim Mora and Associate Women's Basketball Coach Chris Dailey in Southington as part of a panel with other UConn coaches.

Hurley, Mora and Dailey will be part of The UConn Huskies Coaches Road Show , presented by Lewis Real Estate Services, on June 20 in Southington.

Southington's UConn event is at Kinsmen Brewing Co., 409 Canal St., in the Milldale section of town.

The UConn coaching panel will feature Hurley, Dailey, Mora, UConn Director of Track & Field and Cross-Country Beth Alford-Sullivan and UConn Women's Ice Hockey Head Coach Chris MacKenzie.

The event will provide the opportunity for coaches and administrators to spend time connecting and interacting with fans, alumni, donors and UConn supporters.

"We are thrilled to continue the tradition of our annual Coaches Road Show events especially after such an amazing season," said UConn Director of Athletics David Benedict. "It is a priority for us to always stay engaged with UConn nation and show our fanbase how much we appreciate their support. Our coaches and staff are excited to be a part of these events in some great settings around our state."The Road Show will then visit Stony Creek Brewery in Branford on Wednesday, June 28, and feature UConn Head Women's Basketball Coach Geno Auriemma, UCon Head Baseball Coach Jim Penders, Alford-Sullivan, and UConn Men's Soccer Coach Chris Gbandi.

Both stops will feature the opportunity for attendees to mingle and interact with UConn coaches and administrators, a panel interview session, appetizers and a cash bar. Panelist coaches are subject to change.

Both events will run from 6 to 8 p.m. and they are open to the public and registration is required. Each event has a registration fee of $25.
